It has been a busy last couple of months!
In December, we had our first ever “Groupon” promotion! Overall we had a good turn out. The only issue we had was, many people didn't understand that the price was for a whole tour with 3 people, not a per person price... I think that may have limited the turn out a bit. The Groupons are valid through June '11 and I encourage everyone to sign up for their ride, if they that haven’t already. This allows us to do better with scheduling, to keep customers informed, and to avoid a last minute rush in June which is typical of a Groupon promotion, as we may not be able to handle hundreds of people in the last week of the deal. Contrary to popular belief, Groupon does not share the customer's name, email, and Groupon number with the merchant, so folks have to register at www.promo.easyrotor.com. We have no way of contacting them unless they do so.
The pricing was successful due to the fact that we are able to "group" rides together on particular days. We have extended this practice for those who missed the Groupon, $159 for 3 people, for a15-20 minute ride. (Prior to this, a customer had to pay $400 for a 1/2 hour ride. That was our lowest price point.) Folks interested in reserving a spot for an upcoming ride can call us, email, or register online. We will take your payment upon arrival for your ride. We accept cash or Visa and MasterCard and can also take checks electronically.
In other news, we have been listed and featured on FUNFIX.COM, a website that features exciting and cool stuff to do arranged by location and activity. We have also been interviewed by Rapid Growth Media of Grand Rapids, for being a unique growing business in the area. I was personally featured on the "scene newspaper", Recoil, http://recoilmag.com/. That article should come out next month.
We have also entered into an advertising campaign with the "Revue", which should reach an additional 50,000 folks a month.
